They pay up to 20 dollars per survey, though most are only about 2 or 3 dollars-- a quick way to make money! Sometimes they will have you play games as the surveys! Try them- its a free, foolproof way to make some cash! Be carefull to avoid scams!

House Cleaners
This service, again, is also generally used by elderly people. They typically don't like to be on their feet to much, or want to spend a day mopping or on their knees scrubbing grout. So, head over to a retirement home and offer house cleaning services! I earned 20 dollars an hour once- WAY better than minimum wage!
Errand-Runner
There are probably retirement communities in your area. If you can drive, consider heading over there and putting up fliers to advertise yourself as an errand runner. Older people have trouble getting around, so you can drop off the mail, pick up some eggs, whatever they need! Plus, older people usually enjoy meeting young "whippersnappers"! :)
Writing Competitions
I spoke to my friend last week, and in July she had made a couple hundred dollars off a writing competition she did just because she was bored. She didn't even think she did that well! Look around for some writing contests to do in your spare time! Make money, and improve your writing skills! What more could your parents want from you?

Think about when you were little: the short, simple books you used to read! Think about how easy it would be to write a 20 page book with maybe 3 sentences on each page. Search around for some publishers in your area, write a short little book, and send it! NOTE: This isn't a FAST money maker- usually publishers need to read it over and edit and edit but hey, you could become a published author!

Make A Mini-Business! (Lip Gloss, ladies?
Here are some recipes for lip gloss! They are made from common things around the house! Make them, sell them to friends, and make some moo-lah!
Chocolate Lip Gloss
3 tablespoons cocoa butter
4 or 5 chocolate chips
1 capsule vitamin E
Melt all ingredients in a double boiler, and then blend with a spoon until the mixture is very smooth. Put into a container and refrigerate until solid.
Cranberry Lip Gloss
1 tablespoon almond oil
10 fresh cranberries
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon petroleum jelly (optional - for more shine)
Mix all the ingredients and then place them in a microwave or heat-resistant container. Heat in the microwave or a water bath until the mixture just begins to boil (1-2 minutes in the microwave). Stir well and gently mash the berries. Let the mixture stand for at least 5 minutes. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove all pieces of cranberry. Stir and allow to cool completely. When cool, spoon into a clean container. To use: Spread a small
amount onto your lips.

1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
Place the beeswax, coconut oil and vitamin E oil in an ovenproof container. Heat gently until the wax and oils are melted. Stir in the vanilla extract and mix well. Pour the mixture into a clean container and allow to cool completely before using.

Guess what? Just by reading this page, you are earning me money! No, there aren't any hidden fees that you are paying right now, Google Adsense does it all. How is this possible? See the advertisements? That's how.
1. Create a website or blog. I like to do it with Google because it's free and you know that it will be compatible with Google Adsense. (NOTE: Freewebs is NOT compatible with Adsense, unless you get Pro)
2. Create an Adsense account HERE and create your ads. You can go with one of two ways to go about this: make the colors pop out and totally different than the rest of the page, or make them blend in.
When it pops out, people will notice it better BUT know that they are ads. If you blend them in, they won't stand out as much, but people may assume that they are links and click them.
3. Place them around your site. Copy the HTML code, and post it anywhere on your website. If you are using blogger, you can custom make your ads to make the colors go with your blog. Click "Customise" "Layout" "Add Page Element" "Adsense" and customise!

Tutoring
If you are a middle school student or high schooler who gets good grades, you might want to consider tutoring! Tutoring people your own age, or tutoring elementary students! You can tutor in general subjects (everything from social studies to math), or just in math or english, depending on your strengths and weaknesses. When you get a call from parents about a job, ask them what they will need help with- Fractions, Civil War, etc., so you can come prepared!

You might want to make some flash cards or think of some games to do so they cooperate more! I had a teacher once that made jeopardy on PowerPoint! Just think-the more you do, the more the parents pay!!
